Visit: FanDuel Sportsbook to claim $1,000 no sweat first bet offer

We’d rank this offer third when compared to the other competitors in the market:

SportsbookBonus Offer For New Players
FanDuel Sportsbook$1,000 No Sweat First Bet
DraftKings Sportsbook20% deposit match up to $1,000
FOX Bet$500 risk-free bet
BetRivers100% deposit match up to $250

FanDuel’s welcome promotion offers a bigger upside than the risk-free bet offered by FOX Bet. It also matches BetMGM’s $1,000 risk-free bet. Sports Illustrated Sportsbook and Caesars Sportsbook offer risk-free bets that are several thousands of dollars. But those risk-free bets are so high that some bettors have run into betting limits when they try to redeem them. FanDuel’s no sweat first bet is a good size.

However, DraftKings and BetRivers offer deposit match bonuses instead.

Deposit match offers function as bonuses that are more player-friendly, and the BetRivers 100% deposit match is the best offer on this list.

FanDuel Sports Betting App: Where Can I Play?

FanDuel Sportsbook offers legal mobile sports wagering in the following states:

New Jersey – FanDuel’s run to the top of the US sports betting industry started with the launch of FanDuel Sportsbook New Jersey in September 2018. New Jersey hosts the nation’s most competitive iGaming market, with online sports betting, casinos, and poker available to players in the Garden State.

Pennsylvania – Like New Jersey, FanDuel stands as the number one choice for mobile sports betting in Pennsylvania. Online sports betting went live in the Keystone State in May 2019. Mobile casino gaming and poker are legal in Pennsylvania as well.

Illinois – FanDuel Sportsbook debuted in Illinois in August 2020. The Land of Lincoln represents one of the fastest-growing sports betting markets in the US, and FanDuel has emerged as one of the most popular choices for online sports betting in the state. However, you must register your account in person at Fairmount Park in Collinsville.

Indiana – Online sportsbooks began to launch in Indiana in October 2019. FanDuel Sportsbook operates in the Hoosier State as one of the top choices for mobile sports betting.

Iowa – Like Indiana and Illinois, Iowa represents another rapidly-growing sports betting market in the Midwest.

Colorado – FanDuel Sportsbook was among the first wave of Colorado sportsbooks to go live on May 1, 2020. Colorado appears poised to host one of the most competitive online sports betting markets in the US.

West Virginia – The emerging West Virginia sports betting market includes FanDuel and DraftKings as the two most popular online sportsbooks in the state. West Virginia allows legal online sports betting, casinos, and poker.

Tennessee – Tennessee joined the ranks of legal sports betting states in November 2020. Tennessee’s unique iGaming laws allow all sportsbooks to operate as online-only platforms, not tied to a land-based casino license.

Michigan – FanDuel Sportsbook launched in Michigan on January 22, 2021, making it one of the newest markets for FanDuel. Michigan allows online sports betting, casino gaming, and poker sites.

Virginia – Like Michigan, Virginia’s mobile sports betting market launched in January 2021. FanDuel Sportsbook debuted in Virginia on January 21 as the first mobile sportsbook to go live in the Old Dominion.

Arizona – FanDuel offers its sports betting app statewide. It also has a retail location inside the Footprint Center. FanDuel announced its Arizona launch in September 2021, so Arizona is one of the more recent markets FanDuel has entered.

Connecticut – Sports betting went live in Connecticut in October 2021, and FanDuel was one of the first sportsbooks to launch. FanDuel has a retail location at Mohegan Sun Casino, too. So, Connecticut bettors can access FanDuel from their phones or visit in person.

FanDuel Sportsbook: How Can I Play?

Using FanDuel Sportsbook For Desktop

Bettors in legal sports betting markets can access FanDuel Sportsbook through a desktop browser. All major web browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer, support FanDuel Sportsbook. Both PC and Mac users can find FanDuel Sportsbook online, too.

Bettors outside these legal markets can still browse the betting menus and promotions. To deposit and place bets, however, bettors must be located in one of the states in which FanDuel Sportsbook is legal.

Once you’ve navigated to the homepage, clicking on the “Join Now” button at the top right corner of the page brings up the list of states where FanDuel operates. After selecting your state, the sportsbook will use geolocation technology to determine your location. This digital fence will block bettors from placing bets in illegal sports betting markets.

Using FanDuel Sportsbook For Apple iOS Devices

FanDuel Sportsbook offers a mobile app for Apple iOS devices that brings all of the features of the desktop version to your iPhone or iPad.

The FanDuel Sportsbook iOS app is on the App Store and downloadable for free. Like the desktop version, you must be located in a state where FanDuel Sportsbook legally operates to place bets.

The biggest difference between the desktop platform and the mobile app is the smaller screen. Some of the lines offered at FanDuel Sportsbook can be harder to find on a mobile device because of the limited space. The upside to playing on a mobile app, however, comes from the convenience to place bets from anywhere in-state.

Using FanDuel Sportsbook For Android Devices

Like the iOS version of the FanDuel Sportsbook app, the Android app offers the full range of betting services offered on the desktop platform.

FanDuel Sportsbook is available in the Google Play Store. Some sports betting apps are not yet listed in the Google Play store because the company just allowed legal gambling apps in January 2021. But FanDuel is, as usual, ahead of the curve.

The convenience of playing on your phone is why mobile betting is the most popular way to wager for FanDuel Sportsbook bettors. The layout is clean and intuitive, and the live betting section has enough options for even the most active users.

FanDuel Sportsbook: Depositing And Cashing Out

Deposit Options At FanDuel Sportsbook

  • Visa/Mastercard Debit And Credit Cards – Debit and credit cards offer instant access to funds on your sportsbook account after making a deposit. However, this method sometimes gets rejected by the issuing bank. Bettors should keep a backup deposit method handy.
  • FanDuel Play+ Prepaid Card – You can apply for this card on the sportsbook’s website. The card automatically links itself to the FanDuel Sportsbook account. Funds can be put on the card with Visa, Mastercard, or ACH.
  • PayPal – PayPal deposits go through nearly 100% of the time, making this payment processor one of the most reliable ways to fund your FanDuel Sportsbook account.
  • Casino Cage – This is only available in states where FanDuel Sportsbook operates a retail location. You can visit the cashier’s cage at the casino licensing FanDuel Sportsbook and make your deposit in person.
  • PayNearMe Cash – The PayNearMe network allows for cash deposits at participating 7-Eleven, CVS, and other retail locations. PayNearMe deposits are initiated on the FanDuel app, then completed by visiting a participating retail location.
  • Wire Transfer – Wire transfers can take longer to process than the other methods on this list and incur extra fees. Only use this option if all else fails.

Withdrawal Options At FanDuel Sportsbook

Many of the deposit options listed above can also be used to withdraw funds from FanDuel Sportsbook. Most of the following methods come with a turnaround time of 2-5 business days, with a check by mail often taking much longer:

  •       PayPal
  •       Play+ Prepaid Card
  •       ACH/eCheck
  •       Casino cage
  •       Check by mail

Withdrawals take several business days because they must be manually approved behind the scenes. Sportsbook payment processors are working to speed this timeline up for recreational bettors.

Where The FanDuel Sportsbook App Gets It Right

User Experience And Mobile Platform

FanDuel was one of the first sportsbooks to offer both an iOS and Android app, and neither disappoints. FanDuel offers a user-friendly platform that is accessible to bettors of all skill levels.

The app allows players to quickly slide to the right or left at the top of their device to find and select the sport they are looking for.

FanDuel also has a large selection of live bets available for a variety of sports. You can easily place them through the “Live” feature on the top left corner.

A “Popular” tab gives users a quick view of some of the most popular events taking place that day to ensure they are getting in on the action.

Fun Promotions And Odds Boosts

Along with the initial deposit bonus, FanDuel Sportsbook also offers promotions periodically.

They include options like:

  • NCAAB Parlay Bets – Place a 4+ leg, $10+ parlay on any CBB games on 12/22/2021 and get $10 in site credits in return.
  • Christmas NFL & NBA Odds Boost – New users get +3,000 odds on any NBA or NFL moneyline on Christmas Day.

Although the examples above are seasonal, bettors should watch for similar promotions throughout the year.

Daily Odds Boosts

Inflated odds on a particular side or total in an event gives players an advantage over the book. There is usually a betting limit associated with these, but they present incredible value to the bettor.

In the example below, FanDuel was offering to increase the Philadelphia 76ers spread vs. the Milwaukee Bucks by one point for every 1,000 bets placed. With an NBA spread getting that large it is essentially free money. An earlier NCAAB promotion boosted the spread all the way up to one side being +101.5!

It doesn’t get much easier than that.

Another promotion FanDuel Sportsbooks offers is insurance, which comes in a few different forms. For example, parlay insurance goes into effect when a player places a parlay wager consisting of five or more legs.

A parlay is a combination of bets placed together that must all win for the wager to be won. If one of the bets (legs) loses, the entire wager loses. The player gets a max $25 refund per each eligible wager (four eligible wagers per sportsbook account holder per day) in the case of loss.

However, parlay insurance makes it easier to win a parlay. With parlay insurance, four of the five legs in your parlay can win for your parlay to win. However, there are often minimum odds requirements. For parlay insurance to be allowed, each individual leg of the parlay must have odds greater than or equal to -200.

Site Credits

Site credits are bonus credits that are awarded through bonuses and promtoins. They can only be used for betting, so bettors can’t withdraw them like cash.

Early Cash Out

This feature allows you to settle a wager for a certain value before the event has finished. However, your bet is not always eligible for early cashout. This feature is available for select games at select times. However, it is a great feature for someone who isn’t as confident in their bet as they were when they first placed it. It’s also a way to gain a guaranteed profit.

FanDuel Sportsbook backs up its slogan, “More Ways to Win,” with a multitude of betting markets and wager types.

Along with the traditional bets on sides, spreads, and totals, you can access additional wagers. By clicking on the line, bettors can find player props, game props, in-game parlays, and so much more.

If there is something you are looking to bet on, it’s probably available at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Testing Support Options At FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel Sportsbook offers 24/7 support via email and live chat. The phone number isn’t listed on the FanDuel app, but it is 877-689-0662.

When we called FanDuel Support for this review, we were on hold for long durations and sometimes hung up on.

The live chat is a good option. Asking a question through live chat on a desktop usually generates a quick response and is the best way to go if you have an inquiry not covered by the FanDuel Sportsbook FAQ.

Using the email option pings back with a response that your request could take 3-5 days to get a response. With all this in mind, the live chat option is the best option for most bettor issues.

However, the app’s live chat loses points for its frustrating user experience. Once you’ve asked a question using the live chat on the mobile app, you must keep your phone unlocked and on the support page screen until you get an answer. You can’t navigate away from it without ending the chat.

Getting to a customer service agent can be inconvenient. But overall, FanDuel does a good job of solving customer issues.

FanDuel Sportsbook: Final Ranking

  •       Mobile App: 4.5/5
  •       Desktop App: 5/5
  •       Deposits/Cashouts: 5/5

FanDuel Sportsbook FAQs

Is it legal to bet at FanDuel Sportsbook?

Yes, as long as you’re located in one of FanDuel’s legal markets. Bettors don’t have to be residents of a legal sports betting state to wager at FanDuel Sportsbook. However, bettors must be within state borders at the time for their bets to be accepted.

How old do I have to be to wager at FanDuel Sportsbook?

21 or older. A few US states place a lower minimum age on sports betting. However, all states offering FanDuel Sportsbook mandate 21 as the minimum age to legally wager.

Does FanDuel Sportsbook offer any welcome bonuses?

Yes. FanDuel Sportsbooks offers new players a no sweat first bet up to $1,000 after signing up. After making your first deposit, your first bet at FanDuel Sportsbook is eligible for the promotion.

For example, if you deposit at FanDuel Sportsbook, and your first bet is a $1,000 wager, FanDuel Sportsbook will refund the $1,000 in site credits if the bet loses. However, site credits can only be used to bet. They can’t be withdrawn like cash.

What is the best way to make a deposit at FanDuel Sportsbook?

PayPal and the FanDuel Sportsbook Play+ Prepaid card both offer a nearly 100% acceptance rate for deposits. Other convenient methods include ACH/eCheck, credit cards, and debit cards.

However, ACH, eCheck, credit card, and debit card deposits sometimes get declined by the issuing bank. Old rules from the early days of illegal online gambling continue to plague legal sportsbooks today.
