Alice in Wonderland is an 1865 novel written by Lewis Carroll about the adventures of Alice, a young girl who falls into a rabbit hole and into a wild world of fantasy. During her travels, Alice meets a slew of wacky characters, from a caterpillar who always keeps a pipe in arms reach to the mad hatter.
In the sequel to Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, Alice finds a new portal to a magical world—her mirror. Here, she meets the Red Queen, a chess piece who explains the rules and is eventually turned into Alice’s pet kitten. It may sound odd, but that’s how things work in Wonderland.
1×2 Gaming was inspired by these books to create Alice and the Red Queen, a magical slot game filled with all of the best characters from Alice’s travels.
Alice and the Red Queen is a five-reel, three-row slot game that’s packed fulled of features. There are 25 paylines and 13 symbols which means there are plenty of opportunities for big wins.
The symbols in order from lowest to highest value are: the March Hare, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, a beetle, the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Mad Hatter, a cupcake, the shrinking potion, the Red Queen, and Alice. Each of these symbols also has a playing card suit to match. In addition to matching the same symbols, you can win by landing five symbols of the same suit on a single payline. Five clubs get you 15x your bet, five spades get you 20x your bet, five diamonds get you 25x your bet, and five hearts get you 30x your bet.
In addition to the regular symbols, there are three special symbols in Alice and the Red Queen. The wild symbol (which simply reads “WILD”) can substitute for everything but a scatter symbol. The scatter symbol is a teapot; when you get three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the board and receive free spins. Three scatters get you 5 free spins, four scatters get you 10 free spins, and five scatters get you 15 free spins. All wins during free spins are doubled. There is also a cake symbol which only appears during free spins. If you land two or more of these cakes on any payline you win a prize. Two cakes get you 12 coins, three cakes get you 30 coins, four cakes get you 100 coins, and five cakes get you 200 coins.
As with most of 1×2 Gaming’s slot games, Alice and the Red Queen allows you to adjust the number of paylines (1 to 25) and the coin value (0.01 to 0.50) when you place your bet.
