This is not a recent slot, and it shows in both the design and the limited game-play. The Lady in question can be seen staring down on the reels from above and to the left – wearing a vivid green dress. On the reels are a mix of art-deco style playing card symbols, and various lucky charms. These include ladybirds, 4-leafed clovers and rabbit’s feet.
Wilds in this game double the prize of any win they get involved in. There is a free spins feature game too. This starts with a simple picks game. You get the chance of free spins with a substantial multiplier for any wins.
You’ll find a regular 5 reel slot with 20 win-lines. When this game first loads, no bets are selected. You need to click on the ‘Bet 20’ button at least once to avoid an error message. A ‘bet max’ button will bet 10x your coin size for all 20 lines. That coin size is adjustable too – from 1c and up.
Wild symbols, which have a zebra skin design and the word ‘wild!’ in red, are the highest paying symbol. You will get a generous 5,000 coins for 5 of these on a win-line, 1000 for 4, 100 for 3 and 15 coins for just 2 from the left. More importantly, this symbol substitutes for everything except for the bonus and scatter symbols. Any wins which involve at least one wild symbol are doubled compared with what is listed on the pay table.
The charms come next in the prize-list. There is a ladybird, diamond jewelry saying ‘Luck’, rabbit’s foot and a 4 leafed clover in play. These pay between 300 and 200 coins for 5 of a kind, with the ladybird and the luck jewel only requiring 2 from the left to trigger a prize.
Art-deco style playing card symbols make up the smaller wins – with aces down to 10’s in play.
Scatter symbols are represented by a pair of blue dice with the word ‘scatter’ above them. These are not tied to the regular win-lines – instead paying out based on the total number on the reels. You’ll get a big 200x your total spin amount if you hit 5 of these on the same spin.
Bonus symbols show the head of the same lady who looks down over the reels. You need 3 of these to trigger the bonus feature. This is split into two parts.
First, there is a 2-round picks game. This will determine how many free spins you receive, and the size of your win multiplier. You are shown the 4 lucky charms that make up the winning symbols in a grid format. You choose one, which gives you a number of free spins. Next you choose one of the 4 leaves of the 4-leafed clover. This gives you the win multiplier for your free spins.
You will then run quickly through the spins. The bonus symbols are in play, meaning that you can retrigger the bonus game.
Graphically, this is a simple Amaya slot – though it is high on both style and bright colors. You’ll immediately notice the giant green-clad lady standing looking down on the reels. The background is a stripy red color. The art-deco style playing card symbols are a welcome touch, though the charms are the stand-out symbols. I like the sparkling 4-leaf clover the best, with the wild Zebra skin symbol offering a kitsch diversion.
Whenever you spin, there is a drum sound – wins are met with the usual electronic beeps, and there is a mechanical slot sound when you click the spin button.
The only interesting part of the production is the picks round. This reuses the symbols from the reels. While this does not increase the attractiveness of the game – at least it keeps the data use to a minimum!
My feeling is that this slot is more of a retro curiosity than a slot that will become anyone’s favorite. There is nothing wrong with it, other that slightly dated looks. However, with only 2x wild symbols and a free spins game to keep you interested, any novelty will soon wear off.
