People do things a bit differently south of the border. Mexico is filled with plenty of beautiful beaches, small-town markets with a tight-knit feel, and of course, delicious, spicy food. The cuisine in Mexico is actually so good (and spicy) that Americans decided to water it down and make it an American staple. But if you want real Mexican food with real spice to it, there’s only one place to go.

If you can’t make the trip down to Mexico, you can at least play Paco and the Popping Peppers. This slot game by Betsoft is a wonderful amalgam of Mexican culture and slots that creates a fun environment you won’t want to leave. But is it the real deal?

Features & How to Play

There are 5 reels, 3 rows and 30 paylines in Paco and the Popping Peppers. The “Select Lines” setting at the bottom of the game allows you to change the number of active paylines. Clicking the “Choose Coin” button in the bottom-left corner of the game lets you change the coin value to a number between 0.02 and 0.50. Your bet per line can be anywhere between 1 and 5. There are max bet and autoplay buttons to make things a little easier on you.

All symbols pay an amount that’s multiplied by your line bet when you match 3 or more of a kind on a payline. The symbols include the yellow onion, red onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, multicolored pepper, coconut, tomato, and pineapple. The largest reward you can get from these symbols is 1,000x your bet per line. The piñata is the wild symbol and pays 2,500x your line bet for a match of five.

When you match 3 or more symbols, the symbols will pop. As the symbols pop, they make room for new symbols to fall from the top. Each time the symbols pop, a multiplier on the right side of the screen will go up by 1x. The highest this multiplier can get is 10x. The maximum win with a 10x multiplier is 25,000x your bet per line, or 10,000x for non-wild symbols.

If you happen to land three or more hut symbols anywhere on the board, you’ll trigger the Higher or Lower bonus game. You’ll start with one card and decide whether the next card will be higher or lower than that card. You can keep playing this until you’ve lost 3 lives. The game will also stop when you’ve won 10 consecutive rounds.

Like most real-money slot games by Betsoft, there is a demo version of Paco and the Popping Peppers available for players to try. You won’t even have to create an account to play the demo version; the only time you’ll have to sign up is when you want to play for cash. You can find the demo game on Google or at an online casino.

You can even play Paco and the Popping Peppers on the go. The demo version of this game should be compatible with any of your mobile devices as long as you’re connected to the internet and holding your device in landscape mode.

Paco and the Popping Peppers may be packed with Mexican spice, but is it really worth spending your hard-earned money on?

The design of this game is nice but it’s not over the top. There is some light background music and Paco will occasionally say something, but other than that it’s a pretty quiet and laid-back game. This helps create an atmosphere you want to play slots in.

Betsoft undoubtedly got the features right with this game. The bonus game is fun but nothing particularly special, but the popping peppers are what really spice this game up. Even after a very small initial win, you could end up winning massive prize if the peppers happen to fall in your favor.

Paco and the Popping Peppers is worth playing for the popping wins and multipliers alone. There are other games with similar features, but you’re not going to do much better than this game.
