A Casanova is traditionally a smooth-talking male individual who is a master at the art of seducing beautiful women. This MicroGaming designed slot takes a slightly different approach, as the ‘smooth talker’ here is a chicken. You might think this is a little strange, but he is clearly good at his art as one symbols shows a hen laid out on a chez longue.
This humorous slot has two separate bonus rounds joining the base game action. The first is a pick me round with an added extra. The other feature is a free spins bonus round, where you’ll make three interesting picks to start.
Cashanova is a five-reel slot with a maximum of 30 win-lines (players can choose to play between 1 and 30 lines). The highest paying symbol in the game is Roger Rooster, who doubles up as the Casanova. Hit this symbol five times in a row on a win line and you’ll win a mouth-watering 15,000 coins. This symbol also acts as the wild symbol in the game, substituting for all the standard symbols.
The seduced hen is next on the pay table and pays a max win of 750 coins, while a large pink town house is next and pays 600 coins. A hen shaped fountain and Roger Rooster’s pipe pay 500 and 400 coins respectively. At the lower end of the pay scale you’ll find champagne, various fruit combinations, a chocolate Easter egg and whipped cream. No playing card ‘filler’ symbols are used in this game.
The scatter symbol in the game shows a magazine called ‘Hen House’. This magazine shows the same seduced hen on the cover, appearing in a similar pose. Land three or more of these scatters and you’ll win an instant prize – 2x, 10x or 100x your total stake based on 3, 4 or 5 scatters respectively.
The first of the bonus symbols shows a gold key with a feather on the end. Land this symbol on reels 1, 2 and 3 and you’ll enter the pick me feature. You’ll now head to the barn and select from nine items. Each pick will reveal a cash amount, a dog or another key. Find the dog and the feature is over, but find the key and you’ll enter the ‘Get Lucky’ round. This further round sees Roger enter the room with the hen – will he get lucky? You’ll have 5 picks to find out.
The second of the bonus features is a free spins bonus round. This feature is activated by landing the fried egg scatter on reels 3, 4 and 5. You’ll now be faced with a screen showing three rows of three fried eggs. You’ll make a pick on each of the three rows in turn. The first row will reveal the number of free spins you’ll win. The second pick reveals the multiplier attached to each win. The third pick reveals the extra coin win you’ll receive.
It is evidently clear that MicroGaming have aimed to make this slot humorous from the start. A slot about romantic chickens couldn’t be anything else. All the symbols have been designed in a cartoon style and this slot is high on colour throughout. With these large colourful symbols, the game does seem a little too busy on occasions. MicroGaming do have to be commended however on the fact that all the symbols are related to the theme. Even if the thought of chicken romance is a little on the odd side!
The only animation in the game comes when you land a win with Roger Rooster, who then proceeds to blow a heart shaped smoke ring. He also raises an eyebrow, which is surely enough to wow any hen. The accompanying sound is a little basic, where any farmyard related noises would have improved the slot.
This is a very enjoyable slot. The mix of symbols is sure to put a smile on your face from the start, even if the slot does look a bit too crowded at times. With a scatter and two bonus features there is much to keep you involved. The pick me round is a good one with the bonus of entry into another game. Having three picks before the free spins start gives this feature an added dimension. Put all of this into the mix (just like an omelette) and you have a game that you will surely play more than once.
