Various blackjack tables stand out for the side bets that they offer. The side bets give you an opportunity to win it big immediately without having to do any thinking. The Perfect Pairs Blackjack is much like any online blackjack game with the exception that its side bets payout when you’re dealt identical pairs at the start of each round. This game is similar to Super 7 Blackjack in the sense that you’re seeking pairs. The only exception is that Super 7 Blackjack focuses solely on 7s while Perfect Pairs Blackjack doesn’t discriminate the faces of each card.
The objective of the Perfect Pairs Blackjack is to get a hand that has a value that’s as close to 21 as possible. You want to avoid exceeding that number. If the value exceeds 21, you bust and fold your hand. You are playing against the dealer, who is also trying to get a hand as close to 21 as possible. Cards 2 through 10 retain their values while face cards have a value of 10. Aces have a value of either 1 or 11.
After placing a bet, you’ll be dealt two cards. At which point, you can choose to either:
In the Perfect Pairs Blackjack, the dealer must stand on all 17s and draw to 16. When the dealer draws 2 cards, one card will face up. If that card is an Ace, the dealer will offer you insurance. Insurance pays 2 to 1.
Place Your Bets
There are 5 spots at the table. You can bet on all if you’d like. Each spot gives you an area to bet on the blackjack hand and another area to bet on the side bet, which is the Player’s Pair. The minimum bet for each is $1. Maximum bets are capped $300. You have 7 casino chips with the following denominations: $0.1, $0.5, $1, $5, $10, $25 and $100.
For each hand that you play, you can place a side bet on the ‘Player’s Pair’. This is a bet on whether or not your first two cards will be pairs. You can make the same bet on the dealer’s hand. Unfortunately, you cannot play the side bet independently from the blackjack bet. You must first place your bet on a hand before you can bet on the side bet. You’ll earn the following payouts in this side bet:
You’ll win this payout even if you lose the hand. Another thing to note is that you can only bet a maximum of $5 on bot the ‘Dealer’s Pair’ and the ‘Player’s Pair’.
So, is the Perfect Pairs Blackjack worth playing or not? Compared to standard table games, the house edge in this game falls anywhere between 2% to 8%, which is higher than in standard blackjack games. While the house might have a larger edge, keep in mind that it easy pretty easy to get pairs in this game, and the payout for the pairs is relatively generous.
Whether Perfect Pairs Blackjack is worth playing or not is your own prerogative. This game does give you an extra opportunity to instantly strike it rich. The gameplay is identical to other blackjack games. The only feature that really does stand out is the side bet.
